DCC and DCS:
Examples of systems that I consider to be the most advanced
in Largescale today are DCC and DCS.
- DCC: (Digital Command Control)
- DCS: (Digital Command System - by MTH Electric
Trains) **This is the integrated sound and control system I use**
- Photo of MTH DCS wireless handheld remote:
- Nice, multi line LCD data display.
- Remote and TIU are software upgradeable with your
PC. (i.e. Adds/enhances control features to menus)
- Cost = $250 for Remote and TIU and works with your
standard DC power supply. Sound and control board for each engine
= $180
- Overview of MTH DCS system here:

Battery tailored control systems:
- Air Wire 900:
- Seems to be the most advanced of the control
systems typically used for battery control.
- RCS(Remote Control Systems
www.rcs-rc.com/ ): For
picture of remote see this link if not on the RCS homepage:
www.remotecontrolthrottles.com
- Seems to be a total of 8 buttons and
indictors/display appear to be 8 on/off LEDs
- No data display.
- Aristocraft Train Engineer: (Photo below)
- Indicators/display is made up of 10 LED
lights that are either on or off.
-
- No data display.
